Located on the second piano nobile, Anice is the largest and most spectacular apartment in this lovely palazzo, and includes a living room, three bedrooms, three bathrooms, an eat-in kitchen, and beautiful canal views. Towering ceilings and stylish custom-made Italian furnishings make this space a regal place to stay.
The living room is heaven, with plumped up sofa and coffee table over a soft, long-threaded carpet. Two French windows with balcony overlook the charming canal and afford picturesque vistas of Venice. The 6.45 metre ceilings are painted a dove-grey and are framed by a bronze stucco moulding. The walls are a light colour, while the antique terrazzo floor is beige with dusky pink and black flecks. The furniture is Italian design and includes custom made table by Desalto with chairs by Azucena with Rubelli fabric, custom made sofa on a design of Ico Parisi in muted hues of blue.
To the right of the living room is the first bedroom, with four large windows overlooking the canal and square. Its high beamed ceiling is painted dove-grey, while textiles are original Fortuny. Floorings are a light shade of oak, both in the bedroom and en-suite bathroom which boasts a large tub in Istrian stone. The second bedroom is located to the left of the living room and has three large canal-facing windows. Here, too flooring is in oak, walls are covered in Rubelli wall paper, bed is by Felis covered with Dedar and Rubelli textiles. A step away is a luxurious bathroom featuring a bull’s-eye window on the canal and large shower. The bathroom is fitted with high-end accessories, such as Istrian stone vanity and walk-in shower, mirrors, custom made cabinetry. An independent hallway leads to a dine-in kitchen and a third bedroom and bathroom. Both locales face the garden and canal and have light oak floors. The spacious bedroom is decorated with a Susami tapestry from Central Asia, floor lamp by Catellani & Smith, sconces by Contardi. The spacious kitchen features two ovens, a cooled wine cellar and induction stove by Miele.
The apartment’s design features a combination of materials ranging from Corian (used for the kitchen’s central island), to oxidised brass, as well as stained steel and glass. An harmonious palette of muted greys and blues is used for the bedrooms’ accessories to offset the neutral colours of the apartment. Draperies and cushions are in precious hand-painted fabrics by Fortuny and Rubelli, while accessories include Murano glass designer fixtures and chandeliers. For lighting, a mix of floor lamps, lamp sets, and indirect illumination is used to create different degrees and effects. The vibe is contemporary with the use of geometrical and clear lines softened by local accents in the use of glass and traditional embroidered textiles.
